"Miss Ronnie" is a seasoned instructor, having taught dance for 60 years. In her teen years, she performed each Sunday morning as a regular dancer on Sylvia Devy's weekly talent show, in addition to being a soloist and group performer on Paul Whiteman's TV Teen Club show. She later became the "workout lady" on Inga's Angle, a local news show that featured morning workouts. She has had extensive training in Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics, Jazz, Pointe, and Hawaiian and her resume includes dancing professionally in Maryland, Virginia, D.C., Pennsylvania, New York, Canada, Bermuda, and The Azores. For 42 years, Miss Ronnie owned, operated, and taught at La Maison de la Danse in Laurel, MD where a number of our instructors began their dance training. The early technical training received by Miss Ronnie affords her students the ability to pursue professional careers in dance if they choose, as many of them have. In addition to sculpting excellent dancers at Stars Studio, she also teaches adults at the North Laurel Community Center.
Miss Ronnie's passions are children and dance. Her goal has always been to share this passion with any child that wishes to dance. Her motto is "All kids can dance!" We are lucky to have such an experienced professional at Stars Studio!
